Giving Thanks for Our Earth

For Earth Day, we made mandalas to give thanks for each aspect of our Earth. Red and white flowers symbolized healing, rice for abundance, lentils for vibrant health, sugar for sweetness and love, and grains for nourishment. We packed the mandalas in a white napkin to compost to give back to the Earth what it's given us. Check them out!

Spring Goals

As spring starts to come upon us and warmer weather begins, first grade is reflecting on changes to strive for in the upcoming school weeks. We've been practicing self-regulation and discussing goal setting. These are our individual goals!

Alee: I'd like to work on being more safe on the bus. I'd like to work on following directions.
Makayla: I would like to practice reading more. I would like to work on being a nicer friend.
Micah: I would like to sit safely in my chair.

Madison: I'd like to focus on myself and not others. I'd like to work on staying in my own space.
Tola: I'd like to keep distracting things in my backpack.
