Charlotte's Web and Science Notebooks

We had the best time at Charlotte's Web yesterday.  We were thrilled to see this awesome story played by real people.  We were also excited when we noticed that something happened exactly like it did in the book and when we noticed that something was different than it was in the book.  When we got back to school we took notes about the play so we could compare and contrast the book and the play.  (And the movie!). 

We have had such a fabulous week, we've filled our warm-fuzzy bear!  To celebrate, we are watching a movie with Ms. Silverberg's class tomorrow morning!  Can you guess what movie we'll be watching?!?  It's amazing how Granny just seems to know what we would like to do in our classroom!

We have launched a new science unit all about weather.  We have been reading non-fiction, fiction, and literary non-fiction books to learn about weather.  We have also been taking notes and recording new learning and ideas in our science notebooks.  Check out these great notebook entries.
