Four Winds!

We had a great time learning about ball galls today! Galls are bumps in plant stems where flies lay their eggs. Those eggs turn into larvae and then turn into flies!

We saw the dissection of a gall and observed a real larva!

We pretended to be gall larvae by eating snacks in our protective plant stem coats!
